Biodegradation of Petroleum Derivatives (PAHs) by fungus trametes cubensis
Abstract
Several studies are currently being developed using fungal enzymes in various industrial applications. Few or rare studies are being done in this regard, especially with fungi belonging to the Amazonian biodiversity. Laccase (p-diphenol, dioxigenooxidoreductase EC 1.10.3.2) E A polyphenol oxidase acting on a hydrogen donor on a variety of aromatic rings, which can also act on a wide range of substrates, a characteristic that directs its work in the biodegradation of compounds recalcitrant. Therefore, this research sought alternatives for the production and characterization of enzymes of industrial interest using Amazonian strains of basidiomycete fungi, with the objective of evaluating the potential biotechnological production of enzymes that degrade PAHs, thus evidencing the knowledge of Amazonian Biodiversity. After bioprospecting with the Bavendamm test it showed what the fungus Trametes cubensis (Mont.) Sacc. potential, indicating the presence of oxidative enzymes, was passed to the frontal HPA test. In the tolerance tests, the T. cubensis species demonstrated its efficiency, obtaining significant halos in front of Pyrene PAHs in all evaluated concentrations 240.780 and 2040 Ug / mL. It is also possible to highlight the biotechnological potential of this Amazonian lineage for the production of laccase, as it marks 12,000
