Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the international scientific literature regarding six major diseases of pineapple culture, such as fusariosis, black rot, eye rot, root rot, black spot fruit and mucha indexed on the Web of Science platform, as well as information about the causal agent (pathogen) and its synonyms (specific form or anamorphic phase) within the time interval from 2000 to 2019. For this study, specialized and individualized searches were performed on the Web of Science portal, using the scientific name of each pathogen and its synonyms. From the data obtained, column charts were made for comparisons of the results. In the general search, 50 articles found in the Web of Science database were processed. The disease fusariose, having as causal agent Fusarium subglutinans f. sp. ananas, is the disease with the largest amount of work related to pineapple culture, due to its economic importance for pineapple.
